A lake house renovation, preserving five generations of family legacy

March 4, 2020 by cole harris associates

The four-pillar frame was built to strengthen and straighten the building and weathered to look original as well.

On the US-Canadian border is a remote property that has been in the Snow family for five generations. The story of this lake house renovation began when the current owner’s great, great grandfather purchased an island located on East Grand Lake in Eastern Maine. September 12, 2019 by cole harris associates

The HOBI Award-winning kitchen in Osprey, with custom cabinetry is superbly simple, yet remarkably functional.

Every home’s property has its own identity and our Osprey project is characterized by its unique water environment and wildlife ecosystem. It was important for us to find the connections and relationships between the interior space and the outdoors and to reflect this in the design…

Inspired by legacy, drenched in natural light, water views from every room

August 12, 2019 by cole harris associates

Nature has generously provided incredible views from this piece of land on Holly Pond in Fairfield County, Connecticut. The property hugs a small inlet of The Long Island Sound with astounding water views to the east, west and north. We were determined to make those vistas accessible from every room in the house…
